§ 90-10. Billings and late payments.
(a)
All users shall be billed monthly. Payments are due within 21 days from the date on the bill. Any payment not received within 21 days after the date on the bill is mailed shall be delinquent.
(b)
A late payment penalty in an amount set by resolution will be added to each delinquent bill. When any bill remains unpaid beyond 30 days after the date on the bill such service may be discontinued until such bill, including the late payment penalty, is paid.
(c)
When any bill (including late payment penalty) becomes delinquent and remains unpaid for 30 days thereafter such amount shall be reported to the city commission who shall by resolution impose a lien upon the subject property in the amount of the delinquency. Such lien shall be recorded in the public records of the county and shall constitute a lien on the property. If such lien (including late payment penalty) remains unpaid for the period prescribed by the resolution, such lien shall be subject to foreclosure by the city.
