§ 90-2. Rates for water service and sewer service to be established by city commission.
The city shall, by resolution or ordinance of the city commission, establish reasonable rates to be charged the consumers of the water service and sewer service. Such rates shall be set in relationship to the cost incurred by the city in providing the service, and reasonable classifications of consumers may be established so long as the classifications are not arbitrary or discriminatory and so long as the rates apply similarly to all within a class under like conditions. The city may charge users outside the city higher rates than those charged in the city as provided by general law.
