§ 6.08. Submission to electors.
If the city commission fails to pass an ordinance proposed by initiative petition or passes it in a form different from that set forth in the petition, or if the city commission fails to repeal a referred ordinance, the proposed or referred ordinance shall be submitted to the electors in its original form not less than thirty (30) days nor more than ninety (90) days after final vote by the city commission. The city commission may provide for a special election if no regular election is to be held within this period. The ninety days may be extended for up to thirty days if a regular or special election is already scheduled within one hundred and twenty (120) days from the final vote.
