§ 6.06. Effect of certification of referendum petition.

Latest version.

When a referendum petition or amended petition is certified as sufficient by the city clerk, the ordinance specified in the petition shall not go into effect or, if it has already gone into effect, no further action under such ordinance shall be taken until it has been approved by the electors as provided in this article.
