§ 5.04. Form of ballots.

  • Ballots shall follow substantially the form used in state general elections but shall bear no mark or other designation of affiliation of any candidate with any political party or other association or organization. Any voting device approved for use in state elections may be used in city elections, but adequate means shall be provided for writing in, as to each office on the ballot, the name of a person not listed and for casting a vote for that person.

    The city commission shall prescribe the form of the ballot by ordinance including the method of listing candidates for mayor and city commission elections.
