§ 86-193. Restrictions on weight of vehicles.

  • When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall operate any vehicle with a gross weight in excess of the amount specified in regulations promulgated by the city traffic engineer or other city official designated by the city commission at any time upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in such regulations. The police chief shall have the authority to require any person driving or in control of any commercial vehicle to proceed to any public or private scale for the purpose of weighing and determining whether or not this section has been complied with.
