Article VII, Section 3, of the Constitution of the State of Florida and F.S. § 196.1995
empower the city to grant economic development ad valorem tax exemptions after the
electors of the city, voting on the question in a referendum, authorize such exemptions.
In a referendum held on March 15, 2016, the voters of the City of West Palm Beach
authorized the city commission to grant economic development ad valorem tax exemptions.
