§ 78-496. Parklet location.

(a)

Parklets shall only be permitted in those areas which meet each of the following location criteria:

(1)

Within the Downtown Master Plan Area or Northwood Mixed-use District in city right-of-way.

(2)

The posted speed limit is 30 miles per hour, or less.

(3)

A parking lane is established.

(4)

Only one parklet per block face shall be permitted.

(5)

Shall be located on at least one, but not more than two, parking space(s). Parklets located on the 200 and 300 block of Clematis Street shall be limited to one parking space.

(6)

Shall not be permitted in front of a fire hydrant or fire hydrant shut-off.

(7)

Shall not be permitted above utility manhole covers.

(8)

Shall not be permitted on handicap parking spaces.

(9)

Shall not be permitted on transit stops.

(10)

Shall be located at least one parking space away from the intersection, unless a bump-out is provided.
