§ 78-481. Applicability; notice.

(a)

The provisions of this article shall apply to all contractors, individuals, and entities performing or preparing to perform permitted or unpermitted work within City of West Palm Beach public rights-of-way or on property owned by the City of West Palm Beach, or the West Palm Beach Community Redevelopment Agency or the West Palm Beach Golf Commission.

(b)

The provisions of this article shall apply whenever the National Weather Service, National Hurricane Center, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) or other appropriate weather agency issues a declaration or advisory of a tropical storm warning, hurricane watch, or hurricane warning for any portion of the City of West Palm Beach. Media broadcasts of such tropical weather advisories shall be deemed sufficient notice to commence the storm preparation procedures required under this article. Separate notification by the city shall not be required.
