Chapter 78. STREETS, SIDEWALKS AND PUBLIC PLACES |
Article XVI. PUBLIC PLACES |
§ 78-467. Regulation of conduct in public places.
In addition to the regulations contained in sections 58-81 through 58-87 of chapter 58, article III, the following regulations apply to public places:
(a)
Public restrooms. The wash basins provided in public restrooms are intended to be used for hand washing and shall be used consistent with that intent. No person shall use the public restroom for purpose of bathing oneself or any other individual, or animal.
(b)
Fishing. No person shall fish from any walkway, seawall, or docks located on the east side of Flagler Drive from the Flagler Memorial Bridge located on Quadrille Boulevard to the Royal Park Bridge located on Lakeview Avenue. No person shall scale or gut fish on the walkway, seawall or docks located on the east side of Flagler Drive from the Flagler Memorial Bridge located on Quadrille Boulevard to the Royal Park Bridge located on Lakeview Avenue.
(c)
Water features. There are many water features located in public places including but not limited to fountains and water gardens. No person shall bathe, swim, wade or otherwise use water features unless the proposed use is expressly permitted.
(d)
City docks. City docks are open from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. No person shall use the docks from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.
(e)
Grills. No person shall make any fire, or bring, set up, or use a grill or lit barbeque in a public place unless the area is expressly designated as a location where grilling is permitted.
(f)
Roller skates, etc. Riding of roller skates, rollerblades, skateboards, coasters, scooters, and other similar devices in a public place is regulated by section 86-7.
