§ 78-410. Right-of-way use permit.

  • (a)

    Any registered communications services facilities provider desiring to construct, install or replace a new or existing communications services facility within the city public right-of-way and such work will involve excavation, closure of a sidewalk, or closure of a vehicle lane, shall be required to obtain a permit for right-of-way use in accordance with article XV of this chapter of the code. The city may waive the permit requirement in cases where there will be no disruption of the public rights-of-way.

    (b)

    All work in the city right-of-way shall be done in compliance with city standards and permit requirements, FDOT standard details, MUTCD, ADA and OSHA requirements.

    (c)

    Permitted work shall not be complete until all inspections, tests and restorations are complete and approved by the city, any impacted other registrant or utility and any other regulatory agency with jurisdiction.
