§ 78-246. Physical characteristics and appearance of modular newsracks.

  • (a)

    This section applies to all modular newsracks located in the city.

    (b)

    Modular newsracks shall be a design, color and style determined by the city commission.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful to own or maintain a modular newsrack upon the public right-of-way which does not conform to the standards of this article.

    (d)

    Single-unit, two-compartment modular newsracks for use by paid, daily publications may display only front cardholders, no larger than 11" × 17", and may display the trademark name or logo of the newspaper or other periodical being dispensed therefrom on the sides and back of the newsrack, but only within an area the maximum height of which is two inches, and only in letters or symbols which are white or off-white in color.
