§ 74-84. Correction of violation.

The person or owner issued a notice of violation under this chapter shall correct the violation within the time periods provided.
(1)

A violation relating to garbage and solid waste collection and disposal shall be corrected within 24 hours of the date and time of the notice of violation.

(2)

A violation other than those relating to garbage and solid waste collection and disposal shall be corrected within ten days of the date and time of the notice of violation.

(3)

If a code enforcement officer has reason to believe a violation or the condition causing the violation presents a serious threat to the public health, safety, and welfare, or if the violation is irreparable or irreversible in nature, a code enforcement officer may immediately issue a citation pursuant to chapter 26 of this Code and does not have to provide the person with a reasonable time period to correct the violation.

(4)

If a repeat violation is found a code enforcement officer may immediately issue a citation pursuant to chapter 26 of this Code.
