§ 66-183. Electronic invitation to bid or request for proposal.

  • (a)

    Electronic public notice allowed. As an alternative to the public notices required under this chapter, the procurement official may electronically distribute invitations to bid, request for proposals, or other procurement solicitations. The procurement official may limit such distribution to firms electronically registered with the city.

    (b)

    Use of private contractor. If appropriate, the procurement official may contract with a private firm to manage the vendor registration process, bid lists, distribution of procurement documents, and master agreement catalogs. The procurement official may not delegate authority for final source selections to a private contractor.
