§ 66-97. Contract amendments and change orders.

(a)

Contract amendments and change orders shall not be used to avoid procurement by the competitive procedures established under this chapter.

(b)

For contracts in the original amount of $100,000.00 or less, if cumulative contract amendments and change orders exceed the original contract amount by $10,000.00 or more, the user department director shall report such excess to the procurement official and it shall be included in the procurement report.

(c)

For contracts in the original amount of more than $100,000.00, if cumulative contract amendments and change orders exceed the original contract amount by either $25,000.00 or ten percent of the budget detail, whichever is less, the user department director shall report such excess to the procurement official and it shall be included in the procurement report.
