§ 62-317. Membership.

The civil service board shall consist of five members and an alternate, who shall serve without compensation and shall be appointed by the mayor for a term of three years. The alternate shall serve whenever a member is unable to serve. If a vacancy occurs in the position of member or alternate, the mayor shall within 20 days fill the vacancy for the unexpired term. Any member or the alternate may be removed from office by the mayor.
