§ 62-67. Parental leave.

  • (a)

    Parental leave . Parental leave is provided to full time eligible employees with base salary continuation for the first six weeks following the birth, adoption, or foster care intake of the employee's child.

    (b)

    Eligibility . To be eligible for paid parental leave, a full time employee must have worked for the city for at least 12 months and worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period preceding the leave.

    (c)

    Rate of pay, concurrence . Eligible employees will be paid at their base hourly rate of pay. Parental leave will run concurrently with FMLA leave.
