§ 38-45. Use of torches, etc., in business, institutional and public assembly places.

The use of torches, lamps and open flame devices in mercantile, commercial, industrial, institutional, educational and public assembly places is prohibited; provided, that the fire chief and the fire marshal shall have the power to adopt reasonable rules and regulations for granting permission of use, when, in their opinion, after proper inspection, such use shall not be considered hazardous to property or endanger any person.
