§ 38-43. Size vents for flammable liquid tanks.

Each flammable liquid tank shall be vented through piping adequate in size to prevent blow-back of vapor or liquid at the fill opening while the tank is being filled. Minimum size of vents shall be in accordance with the following table:

Minimum Requirements for Vent Size

501 to 3,000	1½ inches
3,001 to 10,000	2 inches
10,001 to 25,000	2½ inches
25,001 to 50,000	3 inches
50,001 to 100,000	3½ inches
100,001 to 150,000	4 inches
150,001 to 400,000	5 inches
400,001 to 1,000,000	6 inches
