§ 2-267. Head of department; functions and powers; divisions.

  • (a)

    The head of the human resources department shall be known as the chief human resources officer.

    (b)

    The chief human resources officer shall be responsible for the administration of the system of personnel management throughout the city and serve as executive secretary of the civil service board and administering its regulations and carrying out its directives to the classified service.

    (c)

    The human resources department shall include the following divisions:

    (1)

    Employee relations division;

    (2)

    Compensation and employment division;

    (3)

    HRIS and benefits division;

    (4)

    Administration, training, EEO, and records division; and

    (5)

    Risk management division.

    (d)

    All references to human resources director in this code shall mean the chief human resources officer.
