§ 2-428. Head of department; functions and powers; divisions.

  • (a)

    There is hereby created and established the information technology department.

    (b)

    The head of the information technology department shall be known as the chief technology officer.

    (c)

    The chief technology officer is responsible for directing the management information (MIS) and communications, including:

    (1)

    The application of information technology and maintenance of city assets; and,

    (2)

    Coordination of telecommunications functions such as cable television, cellular and personal communications services (PCS), and telephone service.
