§ 2-79. Qualifications of members.

(a)

A city commissioner may be appointed to serve as a liaison between the education advisory committee and the city commission. Three of the members shall be high school students in their junior year to serve a two-year term. Education advisory committee members shall represent education, neighborhood associations, local business, and community based organizations which can contribute to the ethnic, racial and cultural diversity of the city.

(b)

Members shall serve without compensation. Vacancies shall be filled within 30 days in the same manner as original appointments.
