§ 22-321. Cash or surety bonds required for Christmas tree sales lots; exception.
(a)
Any person engaged in sales at Christmas trees lots shall deposit with the city cash or a surety bond, which shall have as surety thereon a surety company authorized to do business in this state, in an amount set by resolution to ensure that no damage will be done to the streets, sewer, trees or adjoining property, and that no dirt, paper, litter or other debris will be permitted to remain upon the streets or upon any private property by such applicant for a period in excess of 72 hours that follows midnight December 24 of the year the deposit was paid. Such cash or surety bond will be returned to the applicant under certification by the city that all conditions of this article have been complied with. Failure to comply with all conditions of this section shall result in forfeiture of such cash or surety bond.
(b)
This section shall not apply to artificial trees sales.
