§ 22-272. Investigation of applicant; issuance or refusal of identification card.

  • (a)

    Upon receipt of the application for an identification card by the police department, the police chief shall cause an investigation to be made.

    (b)

    The police chief may refuse to issue an identification card to any applicant who has been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude within the previous five years.

    (c)

    The police department may charge an administrative fee established by resolution.
