§ 22-35. Term of certificate of use.

  • (a)

    No certificate of use shall be issued for more than one year, and all certificates of use shall be issued by the city upon the completion of the application process prescribed in this article. The required fee, with accompanying application, shall be due and payable on or before September 30 of each year. Certificates shall expire on September 30 of each succeeding year. If September 30 is on a weekend or holiday, the fee shall be due and payable on or before the first working day following September 30.

    (b)

    If a business is moved from one location to another property zoned location in this city, or if the business is transferred, a new certificate of use shall be required. No certificate of use shall be issued until a new business inspection is completed at the new business location or premises and the business is found to comply with all requirements of this Code and all applicable laws and regulations which the city is charged with enforcing.

    (c)

    If any person operates any business at more than one location, each location shall be considered a separate business; and a separate certificate of use therefor is required.
