Division 2. PERMIT |
§ 10-82. Application.
(a)
The applicant for a permit under this division shall file an application, in writing, with the fire chief, which application shall be accompanied by a set of building plans, in duplicate, drawn to scale, which shall indicate clearly:
(1)
Generally.
a.
Type of construction.
b.
Seating arrangement.
c.
Aisles.
d.
Structural details and calculations of seats and supports.
e.
Location of all electrical wiring.
f.
Location of all exits.
g.
Location of all fire equipment within the structure and the specifications of such equipment.
h.
Location, insofar as feasible, of adjacent structures and obstructions which might hinder the free egress of persons from exits.
(2)
Additional information. Such application shall further specify:
a.
The name and principal place of business of the person who will use the structure.
b.
If the applicant is not a natural person, the names and address of the officers of such firm or corporation.
c.
The location within the city where such carnival, circus or show is to be held, which location shall not be within 1,000 feet of any school, cemetery or funeral home and shall conform to the provisions of chapter 94.
d.
The length of time and hours of the day or night the structure is intended to be used for the purpose applied for.
e.
Whether any open flame is intended to be used within the structure and, if so, what precautions are to be taken to render it safe, together with the formula of the solution to be used to flameproof the structure.
f.
What provisions have been made for sanitary facilities for persons using the premises on which such structure is to be erected or is maintained.
g.
Such other relevant information as the fire chief may require.
(b)
The application and plans required by this section shall be submitted to the fire chief at least ten days prior to the date of the opening of any structure contemplated by this article, and he shall be notified at least 48 hours prior to the erection of such structure, so that he may cause an inspection to be made during reasonable daylight hours.
